Much of the wood that I use in my turnings is from the Pacific Northwest. I salvaged quite a lot after the Great January Ice Storm of 2004 that froze much of the Portland/Vancouver area. (Note: this page loads very very slowly with a dial-up connection. My apologies.)
After the worst of the storm was over, I went out and took photos of the damaged trees on our property. (Note: this page loads faster.)
